We provide structured sober living, long-term mentoring and outpatient services.
What is the average age of clients at Transcend?

It varies from month to month and from house to house. The average range is 18–35 years old with the mean age falling somewhere around 24.
What is the average length of stay at Transcend?

The average client stays about 5 months. Many stay past 5 months but in terms of commitment, we re-assess a month at a time. The time frame is based on each client's particular recovery goals.
Can I have my cellphone or computer?

Clients are allowed to use both their cell phone and computer unless restrictions are recommended. We may limit use if necessary for safety or recovery.
Do your houses need any licensing to operate?

We do not provide medical or therapeutic treatment, so no state license is required. We are members of The Sober Living Coalition with yearly inspections.
What is your smoking policy?

Clients are allowed to smoke in designated areas, though we encourage cessation and provide support lectures twice monthly.
How are meals handled by Transcend?

Breakfast and lunch are self-prepared. Dinner is provided Monday–Friday, Saturdays are group takeout, and Sundays are client-prepared meals.
Does Transcend provide a therapist or psychiatrist?

We connect clients with external clinicians while providing accountability, structure, and support internally.
Is there a physical activity component to Transcend?

Yes, including gym memberships, boxing, yoga, and surfing with certified instructors. Physical fitness is a key part of recovery.
Does Transcend help clients find a job?

Yes, we assist with resumes, job searches, interviews, and connecting with local employers.
Does Transcend help clients enroll in school?

Yes, we guide clients through the enrollment process and provide peer support.
Will Transcend help clients find a volunteer program?

Yes, we match clients with meaningful volunteer opportunities.
Can Transcend help with letters to courts?

Yes, we can provide official letters regarding a client’s stay.

Yes, with full staffing including overnight supervision and reporting.
